Membership

1. Investor Education Pty Limited ACN 114 677 226 (InvestEd) is the owner and operator of this site.
2. By completing the online membership registration process to become a member and gain access to InvestEd’s site and content you agree to be bound by this Membership Agreement and the Terms of Use and any other disclaimers or notices displayed on this site, as amended from time to time. The Terms of Use form part of this Membership Agreement.
3. If you do not agree to this Membership Agreement and the Terms of Use then you should discontinue your use of this site and terminate your membership by notifying the administration team in writing.
4. As a member of InvestEd you are entitled, whilst you remain a member, to:
   1. participate in any discussion forum on this site; and
   2. view "premium" content on this site and use it in accordance with the Terms of Use.
5. To become a member of InvestEd you must provide InvestEd with accurate information as requested. You are responsible for keeping that information up-to-date. You may update your member details at any time by visiting the Edit Profile section of the User Control Panel. InvestEd will collect and use information you provide only in accordance with privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

Fee for membership

1. There is currently no fee to become a "personal" member of InvestEd.
2. To become a "premium" member of InvestEd, you must pay an annual membership fee, currently AU$35.
3. Paid memberships will extend for a period of 12 months from the time your payment is successfully processed and received in cleared funds.
4. Membership benefits may be adjusted from time to time without notice, to suit changes in site features and functionality.
5. In the case of membership renewal, if payment is received prior to the end of your current membership period, your membership will be renewed for the agreed length of time, commencing from the end of your current membership. If your membership has expired, your renewed membership will commence from the time your renewal payment is successfully processed and received in cleared funds.
6. All payments made to InvestEd, including your membership fee, are non-refundable and will not be refunded if you or InvestEd terminate your membership or if you do not use this site.
7. If GST is imposed on any supply made by InvestEd you must pay that GST to InvestEd in addition to any other consideration payable without any deduction or set-off.
8. InvestEd reserves the right to charge a processing fee for credit card payments, you will be informed if this applies at the time of payment. Currently we choose not to charge this fee.

Expiry and termination of membership

1. Unless otherwise agreed, paid memberships will expire 12 months after receipt of your membership fee. If you do not renew your membership you will no longer be granted access to the facilities and privelages that your level of paid membership allowed. InvestEd will notify you before your membership expires so that you can renew your membership at the membership fee which applies at that time.
2. InvestEd may in its absolute discretion terminate your access to this site without reason, in particular where you breach this Membership Agreement or the Terms of Use. You will be given notice of termination of your membership.
3. Following expiry of your membership or any termination of this Membership Agreement:
   1. you will continue to be bound by all restrictions imposed upon you with regard to content;
   2. all indemnities, licenses and waivers granted by you will survive termination; and
   3. all disclaimers and limitations of liability under this Membership Agreement and the User Terms and Conditions will survive termination.

Content and intellectual property

1. InvestEd does not control the content of advertisements, content viewed after following any links on this site or discussion forum posts on this site. InvestEd reserves the right to move, edit or delete discussion forum posts or other content created by you in its absolute discretion.
2. By posting any content to this site you irrevocably licence InvestEd to reproduce, edit or distribute that content in any form and you waive any moral rights you have in that content.
3. InvestEd may alter or discontinue any feature of this site and its content in its absolute discretion.
4. InvestEd may unilaterally change this Membership Agreement and the User Terms and Conditions. Updated versions of these documents will be posted on the site. You are responsible for ensuring that you continue to abide by their terms and your continued use of this site will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of any changes.

Members’ code of conduct

1. As a member of InvestEd you:
   1. will abide by this Membership Agreement and the Terms of Use, as amended from time to time;
   2. will conduct yourself with fairness, honesty and courtesy in all your dealings with other members, including in any discussion forum posts made by you;
   3. will refrain from any conduct towards any other member which goes beyond robust and fair debate of any issue; and
   4. accept that the decision of InvestEd to censor or delete any inappropriate content created by you is final and not subject to any review or appeal.
2. Without InvestEd’s prior written consent, you agree not to use this site to:
   1. post material in a discussion forum which contains any advertising or spam (InvestEd will allow personal recommendations of service providers in its absolute discretion);
   2. publish any content containing financial advice or recommendations regarding securities;
   3. defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise offend others;
   4. publish any content which is indecent, illegal, or contains any virus or code capable of interrupting this or any other site or copying its content; or
   5. tamper with, hinder or make any alteration to this site.
3. You are responsible for:
   1. protecting the confidentiality of your username and password; and
   2. all activities which occur under your username and password.
4. You must not share your username or password with anyone else without InvestEd’s prior written consent. You must immediately notify InvestEd if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your username and password.
5. You indemnify InvestEd and agree to keep InvestEd indemnified against any direct or indirect loss or damage or any costs incurred by InvestEd which arise directly or indirectly due to your membership or use of the site. InvestEd’s liability to you is capped at the most recent annual membership fee you have paid.
6. This Membership Agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
