We believe the statement above to be true, and so we created InvestEd with the goal to provide Australian investors with a comprehensive on-line source of financial education. Most sites cover only one or two aspects of investing, and very few focus on how various investing techniques and vehicles can be used together to maximise your returns, like we do at InvestEd.
Investor Education Pty Limited (InvestEd) was formed in 2005 and has created a supportive and informed learning environment to give you the knowledge and the tools to invest successfully. Our dynamic community allows you to learn from other like-minded investors, and our team of experts provide guidance and direction - plus valuable educational material.
Even experienced investors can learn from the knowledge and expertise of others - and they can also find satisfaction in the joy of helping other investors in their own quest for financial success. This is why we didn't just build a website - we built a community of investors!
The team behind InvestEd share some common characteristics:

- they have a shared passion for investing and education.
The founders of InvestEd are: Simon Hampel (Managing Director), Nick Moustacas, Nigel Ward and Jacque Parker.
Simon Hampel - IT Professional and Educator
Information Technology professional, successful investor and business owner, Simon Hampel (aka Sim') is our Managing Director and the technical brains behind our website.
Apart from looking after the day-to-day management of the InvestEd site and resources, Simon also heads up our editorial team.
For Simon the great thing about InvestEd is that it allows him to combine his skills in technology and his interest in investing, with his passion for education.
Education is in Simon's blood (both of his parents are school teachers, as is his sister) and he is currently completing a Master of Education in Adult Education (UTS).
Simon also has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computer Sciences (UofA) and over 10 years of experience developing and maintaining websites and building online collaborative communities.
Nigel Ward - Solicitor
Nigel is a lawyer, but please don't hold that against him.
Nigel has spent nearly a decade acting for investment banks and ASX-listed corporations on some of the largest financing deals in Australasia.
Despite sometimes barely seeing the world outside his office for weeks on end, he is also a successful investor and has managed to build a significant property and share portfolio over the last 5 years.
He has even found time to roll up his sleeves to work on a couple of renovations.
Nigel brings the expertise of the big end of town to private investors.
He has been published in more than a dozen journals and texts on various arcane legal topics and has a knack for making complex legal topics more easily understood.
Nigel holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (with Distinction), a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), a Master of Laws (QUT) and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (Sec Inst).
He is a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of Queensland and New South Wales and of the Federal Court and an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia.
