Bob Mansfield

I just bought some shares in RRT as a "recovery" stock, and then I discovered that Bob Mansfield was the Chairman.

Previously I had held shares in STG and TLS - both companies were under the Chairmanship of Mr Mansfield.

Libel laws probably restrict me from stating the obvious - just check out the share prices and you will get my drift.

For further clarification check out the Chairman's (Bob Mansfield) address to shareholders to the various companies who were unlucky to have him as their Chairman - then observe the hype (or naivity) compared to the subsequent "discovery" of bad news (re STD/TLS/RRT.

If further clarification is required then do a "dorothy dix".

It may sound as if I'm knocking the guy - true - but its IMHO.

Regards

Tony

Thanks Tropo

One picture is worth a 1000 words.

If my critical comments regarding Chairman Bob need any reinforcement then read the Chairman's (his) address to shareholders at the AGM prior to the drop in share price.

The rosy sentiments as to the forthcoming 12 months, and the glowing picture of future growth, show that the man was either on medication or a complete fool when he made such comments. Not once but several times!!

He was also Chairman at telstra - remember TLS at $7.40.

Frankly I would not have bought rrt if I had known that idiot was involved.

I do not think that BM is a fool.
He was probably ramping RRT laughing all the way to the bank.
Next time - no matter who is going to tell you another 'Eldorado' story - first check chart/s.
Chart/s will tell you all you need to know!

Yes....I remember TLS above $8.00 (it was a long time ago).

Interestingly RRT release their half year results tomorrow (21 Feb).

It will be interesting to see how that goes.

I note that John Kinghorn (RAMS) has now increased his stake to approximately 12%, albeit when the share price was .60+

Accordingly to the latest statement from RRT its NTA is well above its current share price.

All will be revealed tomorrow.

(But I still suspect that Bob will find a way to continue his disastrous performance as Chair).
