Navra Blue Chip American Fund PDS now available

Just checked the NavraInvest website ... the PDS for the Navra Blue Chip American Fund is now available for download.

For those people who haven't yet seen details of the fund - there are two main differences (that I can think of) between this new fund and the existing Australian funds.

1. There is now only one fund rather than the two (retail and wholesale) that the Australian fund has. The minimum investments for the America fund are similar to a retail fund - so it's easy to get into the American fund, but the performance fee is the same as the wholesale fund ... so it's kind of the best of both worlds.

2. Quarterly fees - the American fund is calculating the performance fee quarterly instead of annually.

There may be some other slight differences in the way fees are handled too - such as advisor fees coming out of your investment returns, rather than from NavraInvest.

Just on that point, I see from the news that:

Caterpillar shares jumped nearly 2 per cent to $US75.76 on the NYSE, contributing most to the Dow's advance. The stock gained on news that the big US heavy equipment maker is in preliminary talks about a closer relationship with Chinese engine maker Shanghai Diesel Engine Co. Ltd.

From memory Caterpillar is in the portfolio! I hope the fund had some holdings!

Just asked the question of my Leveraged Equities account manager about when LE will offer margin on NAV0003AU ... the answer was "it's currently under review, will have an answer in a couple of days".

Hopefully with all these people asking about it, the process will be fast-tracked.

Can I suggest that anyone else interested in leveraging into NAV0003AU ... call or email your margin lender account manager and ask about when they will be offering margin

I've lobbied BT!

ps. I know this issue has been discussed before, but what are people paying for their margin loans in the:

250-500K bracket? and
500-750k bracket?

Thanks
N.

I am paying 7.8% with LE on a balance of about $180K. They said they will further review it if my borrowings increase significantly.

They have a good range of securities acceptable and their service has been first rate in my experience.

Cheers,

7.85% variable for $150k loan with LE, just the other day.

In June I intend on wrapping this up with my current $355k to pay interest on $505k, I'm told that I'll be looking at about 7.4-7.5%.

Hi Sim (and other investedites),

Shall have to order a copy of the PDS via snail mail as my old computer will take forever to download.

Did you notice a start date by any chance??
