Are Virgin Home Loans a good deal?

Hi All,

This is my first post. I am a first home buyer about to buy my first home (house and cabin) in Ettalong NSW and have had my offer accepted. Currently organising finance and main choice is between Westpac (my bank, variable rate 7.37%, all fees and waived, ongoing yearly fee of $395 - Westpac Internet -Discount promo ) or Virgin Home Loans (7.34%, no fees - Virgin Money Home Loans ).

Does anyone have experience with either and have any thoughts or feedback on the deals they offer, service, hidden costs and whether they have had any problems? Or perhaps, can anyone suggest a great deal on a basic variable rate package where additional repayments can be made?

Cheers,
Ali
